South Korea’s trade surplus with the United States in the first nine months of this year declined 13.2% from a year ago, while its trade deficit with Japan fell 30%, the Korea Foreign Trade Assn. reported. The association said, however, that Korea’s trade surplus with the European Economic Community increased 16.6% during the January-September period.
