NFL Games on Cable Are Good Business
I assume Bob Oates wrote his pro football column (Oct. 26) on “Greed Time in the NFL” because he was paid. I don’t think Oates is greedy, and neither are the owners in the NFL.
They have businesses worth up to $100 million, and they should be allowed to market their product. Showing football games on cable TV is good business.
Just because people in the inner city don’t have cable is no reason for Oates to condemn the NFL for selling its product.
