The Green Bay Packers waived Mossy Cade, the recently paroled defensive back, from their reserve list, clearing his way to play for another National Football League team next season.
Cade, 26, was paroled last month after serving 15 months of a 2-year sentence for second-degree sexual assault. He has been on the reserve-did-not-report list and has not played since the 1986 season.
The Packers had invited Cade to rejoin the team in training camp next summer, but he said he wanted to play this season. The NFL ruled that Cade could not play until 1989.
