Speaking Out on Orange County Elections : Huntington Beach Officials Criticized
Tom Mays and Gail Hutton are city officials using their office to profess their personal stand on citywide issues; issues that should be fairly judged by each individual voter in our community.
As city officials I believe that it is abhorrent that they use their positions to endorse issues by using their titles. And especially when the literature is distributed on specially made stationery carrying a very official-looking Huntington Beach seal.
This type of political campaigning should be stopped immediately. It is misleading to the point of allowing people to believe that the propaganda professed is an official city stand.
