Post-election thoughts will abound on this weekend’s public affairs programs.

“Meet the Press” looks ahead to the Bush presidency and the future of the Democratic Party Sunday at 8:30 a.m. on Channels 4, 36 and 39. The guests will be Craig Fuller, the vice president’s chief of staff, and Paul Kirk, chairman of the Democratic National Committee.

The “McLaughlin Group” speculates about Bush’s Cabinet and his chances with Congress Sunday at 9 a.m. on Channel 4, (5:30 p.m. on Channel 50).

Sen. Jay Bennett Jonston (D-La.), among others, examines the transition on “This Week With David Brinkley” at 11:30 a.m. (7)(3)(10)(42).

Jesse Jackson, Sen. Pete Domenici (R-N.M.) and Rep. Thomas Foley (D-Wash.) assess the Bush victory on “Face the Nation” Sunday at 4:30 p.m. on Channel 2, (11:30 p.m. on Channel 8).

And reelected Sen. Pete Wilson (R-Calif.) and Dr. Larry Berg discuss the Bush Administration’s likely policies on “Newsmakers,” Sunday at 5 p.m., Channel 2.
