Nordstrom Inc. said third-quarter net earnings rose 0.1% to $19.9 million. Sales for the Seattle-based department store chain advanced 18.1% to $485.8 million. On Oct. 7, the company opened the largest store in its chain in downtown San Francisco. At the end of the quarter, the company had in operation a total of 59 stores with 6,277,000 square feet.
