Canadian search teams rescuers on Friday called off their hunt for the 27 crewmen missing from a British-owned oil tanker that broke apart in stormy weather in the north Atlantic.

The 65,700-ton Odyssey, with 27 Greek and Honduran crew members aboard, burst into flames after it broke Thursday and sank about 700 miles east-northeast of Newfoundland.
