Restless Artists

Thanks for continuing to get the word out about the sad state of affairs in our community’s nonprofit arts scene.

According to Snowden’s article, “. . . for film artists the world’s movie and TV capital ironically is one of the few major U.S. cities without an alternative, co-op film center offering low-cost technical assistance.”

I couldn’t agree with Snowden more. That is why I founded the Los Angeles Filmmakers Workshop--to be that alternative.

Finally there is an organization where the film school graduate, someone with limited experience and the beginning professional can work cooperatively with other film makers, artists, craft persons and technicians to showcase their talents.

Before your paper does another expose on the nonprofits art scene, perhaps someone should do a little more research to see who and what exactly is out there.
