Orange County Cousins’ Club
Your article about the Orange County Cousins’ Club (Oct. 11) was excellent and well presented. I commend The Times for printing such an article.
As an American citizen and a Palestinian victim of the 1948 war, I have grown up with much hostilities and bitterness toward the Zionists and Jews in general. But through the Cousins’ Club, I have gained hope that dialogue and communication between Palestinians and Jews are possible. One must not dwell on the past.
It is time for peace in the Middle East and I strongly believe that through groups like the Cousins’ Club, a peaceful solution can be achieved. It is time to stop the bloodshed in the Middle East. it is time for open, honest communication between Jews and Palestinians, even here in the United States.
