An 11-year-old Scripps Ranch boy was killed Sunday when he rode his bicycle through a stop sign and was struck by a car, police said.
Mack Davis Lightner was pronounced dead at 2:06 p.m. at Sharp Memorial Hospital.
The accident occurred at 12:50 p.m. as the boy, who was riding his bicycle east on Moselle Way, entered the intersection at Magnifica, authorities said. The driver of the car was not cited.
