A pilot whose flight in a twin-engine Cessna from Oakland to Honolulu ended in engine trouble and a crash into the ocean 240 miles northeast of Maui was rescued by a tanker ship after spending more than eight hours in a life raft. Authorities reported that Mark Eaton was wet and cold when picked up by the MV Sierra Madre, but otherwise was in good condition.
