‘Enormity’
Following your fine reporting of how George Bush won and Michael Dukakis lost (Part I, Nov. 10), Bush added the perfect postscript when he spoke of “the enormity of what has taken place.” My dictionary defines enormity as “a great crime, great wickedness, outrage, iniquity.”
Is there anything more refreshing and amusing than an unwitting truth?
