Rohr Industries, a jet engine component manufacturer based in Chula Vista reported first quarter net income of $7.8 million on revenue of $224.9 million, up from net income of $7.2 million on revenue of $202.2 million over the same three month period last year.

First quarter sales were down from fourth quarter, 1988, sales of $253 million because of delayed deliveries resulting from “increasingly stringent government acceptance criteria,” Rohr said.
