The Nation : Ex-Aide Calls LaRouche Paranoid, a Liar

A former security aide to political maverick Lyndon H. LaRouche Jr. described him as paranoid and a liar but denied that he harbored hatred toward his ex-boss because he already had experienced a “lifetime of hatred” while working for LaRouche. Charles Tate unleashed his scathing attack at LaRouche’s conspiracy trial in U.S. District Court in Alexandria, Va., saying the three-time presidential candidate insulted employees, lied to them, ordered them around while intoxicated and saw himself as a victim of assassination plots that were products of “his own imagination.” After Tate attacked LaRouche under friendly questioning by Assistant U.S. Atty. John Markham, the witness was grilled by defense lawyers, who tried to portray the one-time aide’s testimony as revenge against LaRouche.
