One of the most promoted videos of the season, “Willow” (RCA/Columbia, $89.95, PG) blazes into the video stores this weekend. Featuring a big budget, a big producer (George Lucas), a big director (Ron Howard) but no big stars (unless you count Billy Barty, which might be stretching things a bit), this humor-filled 1988 sword-and-sorcery spectacular earned mixed reviews and $55 million at the box office.

“Funny Farm” (Warner, $89.95, PG) was Chevy Chase’s summer-’88 offering, a comedy a la “The Egg and I” (or, for TV buffs, “Green Acres”) that draws its laughs from the sight of city slickers trying to cope with life in the country.

Two new horror videos sound pretty campy. This week: “Sleepaway Camp II: Unhappy Campers” (Nelson, $79.98, R) features Pamela Springsteen (“Fast Times at Ridgemont High”) and Renee Estevez (“Lethal Weapon”) in a story about a maniacal camp counselor who’s just as likely to wield a chain saw as a tennis racquet--and who’s (here’s the switch) a woman! Next week: It’s more female-fomented fright in “Cheerleader Camp” (Prism, $79.95, R). Betsy Russell (“Private School”) plays a young lady who finds her competitors and teammates dropping faster than discarded pompons, and suspects something unspeakably evil within her peppy self might be to blame.

You can exercise to “Psychocalisthenics with Lindsay Wagner” (Cinergy, $29.95, 52 minutes) or watch others suffer in “Endurance” (New Star, $69.95, 90 minutes), highlights from a Japanese TV show that torments its contestants with things like burning their chests, making them think they’re about to be trampled by a bull, submerging their heads underwater while catfish nibble at them. . . . Shall we go on?
