‘Shot in the Foot by Prop. 103’

Share

After reading Zycher’s column, I couldn’t help applauding myself for casting my vote against such pompously egotistical economic dribble. The truth of the matter is, Mr. Zycher, that California, as the nation’s largest consumer of insurance, gasoline, automobile sales, and any other auto-related expenses you can think of, has nothing to fear. No insurance company will sacrifice the immense revenues of California, despite the 20% cut in rates, because there is plenty of competition that will stay. No, Mr. Zycher, “alternative measures” will not work because the insurance companies refuse to compromise any profits whatsoever. Proposition 103 is the perfect example of what can happen if you “stick it to” the consumer long and hard enough!
