Activists damaged jet fighters and army trucks in two separate anti-military protests in the Netherlands, military officials said. Protesters at Woensdrecht air base in the southwestern Netherlands slashed the tires on six jet fighters to protest their proposed sale to Turkey, according to an air force spokeswoman. Earlier, protesters slashed tires on 59 army trucks and painted slogans opposing the North Atlantic Treaty Organization on several of the vehicles at an army barracks in the southern city of Eindhoven, an army spokesman said.
