An airliner taking off from an Amazon jungle city knocked over a brick wall with an air blast from its jet engines, killing three children and injuring three adults, La Cronica newspaper reported Saturday.
The incident occurred Friday as the Fokker F-28 jetliner took off from Yurimaguas, 415 miles north of Lima, the newspaper said. The pilot was unaware of what had happened and flew the aircraft to the nearby city of Tarapoto, where authorities told him of the deaths, it added.
