HomeClub filed a lawsuit against the advertising agency that announced recently that it was dropping the home improvement firm as a client to work for rival Home Depot. The suit, filed against Admarketing Inc. of Los Angeles, contends that the ad firm will disclose HomeClub’s trade secrets and marketing plans to its biggest competitor. Admarketing President Jack Roth replied: “The implication is we know too much to handle the competition. That’s not correct. We don’t know their marketing plans for next year.”
