Carol Burnett has canceled her deal to star in a series of seven half-hour comedies for CBS, a network spokeswoman confirmed Wednesday. The series, which was scheduled to air in the spring, was to have been produced by Robert Altman. “It’s off. The decision not to go ahead was a decision that came from her camp, not ours,” the spokeswoman said.
