NAPLES, Italy —
Storm-lashed seas hampered the search Saturday for a missing research boat and added to the problems created in southern Italy by the season’s first major snowfall, which has left at least 12 people dead.
Police and firemen rescued dozens of people stranded in their cars by blizzards.
