Fog Forces Diversion of Flights in Seattle Area

SEATTLE —
Some air transportaion was resumed Sunday as heavy fog that had blanketed the Puget Sound area lifted, but not before the plans of thousands of holiday travelers were disrupted. Seattle-Tacoma International Airport was shut down because of poor visibility Saturday, and dozens of flights were diverted to Spokane, Portland, Ore., and Vancouver, Canada.
