‘That Time’

How refreshing and rare to hear the voice of sweet reason--” ’That Time’ for Women Is When Science Pins a New Fetish on Hormones” (by Carol Tavris, Op-Ed Page, Dec. 4). How many eons must it take before we recognize ability, regardless of the packaging--whether it’s women, blacks, Hispanics or whatever.

Rather than “points of light” we need more enlightened views like those of Carol Tavris, to point the way to a just society.
