A San Diego man has been arrested on suspicion of murdering a 21-year-old Imperial Beach woman in September, authorities reported.
Juan Antonio Lopez, 24, of the 1400 block of Ocean Avenue, was arrested by sheriff’s deputies Wednesday. Lopez, a cemetery-plot salesman, is alleged to be one of six men who kidnaped and killed Kristine Reyes, a tow company dispatcher whose body was found Sept. 30 in an El Cajon apartment.
Authorities said they will recommend that the district attorney file charges against Lopez including murder, assault with a deadly weapon and kidnaping for ransom.
Lopez is being held at the downtown County Jail. His bail has been set at $500,000.
