Uproar Over Republicans’ Use of Uniformed GOP Guards at the Polls

Share

Once again The Times has turned a story around so the Republicans come out as the bad guys. The article “Poll-Watching Controversy Heats Up Again” (Dec. 14) is a prime example.

The headline screams that Jane Fantauzzi was “scared off” by the Republican Party’s poll-watching guards. Buried on Page 7 you finally explain that an official from the Orange County registrar of voters office had asked the guard to stop any more people from entering the polling place until the overcrowded line inside the polling place had thinned out.

The “scared” Jane Fantauzzi had simply misunderstood, as 74-year-old women often do, and then the fact comes out that Fantauzzi is a Democrat. What a coincidence!

The Democrats are very bitter that they lost the 72nd District Assembly race, so they try to rehash the story as many times as possible. The Democrats lost, so they will try any way possible to make the Republicans look bad.

The Republicans have done nothing illegal; they were just trying to stop illegal aliens from voting.
