A baby panda born in Tokyo’s Ueno Zoo made its first public appearance Saturday for its official naming ceremony.

Named Yu Yu from more than 110,000 choices sent in from around the nation, the panda was born June 23 and now weighs about 23 pounds. Its sex cannot be determined for another year or so, a zoo spokesman said.

Yu Yu is the third cub to be born to Huan Huan.

Chu Chu, born in 1985, lived only two days before accidentally being crushed to death by Huan Huan.
