The Assembly, which spent $1.1 million remodeling offices two years ago, is spending another $500,000 on renovations this year. Workers have started remodeling work costing $291,400 that should be complete before Jan. 3, said Bob Connelly, chief administrative officer for the Joint Rules Committee, adding that another $210,000 worth of remodeling will be done sometime after the first of the year. Connelly said this year’s remodeling covers several offices missed two years ago. Some offices had old plaster walls and electrical wiring that was incompatible with copiers, facsimile machines, microwave ovens, computer printers and other equipment, he said.
