Orange Coast Rallies to Defeat Grossmont

Lamont Speed scored 13 points, 11 in the second half, as Orange Coast College came from behind to defeat Grossmont, 70-63, Monday in the first round of the San Diego Mesa tournament at San Diego Mesa College.

The Pirates (13-3) trailed at halftime, 39-34, but took the lead for good, 62-61, on a jump shot by Derick Johnson with 4 minutes left. Orange Coast outscored Grossmont, 8-2, down the stretch.
