From our Sorry, Wrong Number file: Tustin resident Bob Burton says he received about 50 “wrong number” calls a day from people trying to reach Santa Ana-based FM station KWIZ this summer. (Burton’s number is one digit off the station’s.) Finally, he said, the last straw was a woman who wanted to hear the Beatles’ “Yesterday” and refused to take no for an answer from Burton. So Burton did the best he could: he sang it for her. Luckily for him, Burton said, the number of wrong calls have trailed off to just a couple a week now that disc jockey Pat Matthews has begun saying the number more slowly on the air, Burton said.
