Santa Monica : Rent Board Lawyers Named
Sally Molloy, a lawyer for the Rent Control Board since 1985, has been named general counsel of the agency, replacing Joel Martin Levy, who was reassigned to the position of senior attorney.
Levy, who had served as general counsel for four years, requested the reassignment, board administrator Mary Ann Yurkonis said. The new post frees him of administrative duties and allows him to dedicate more time to litigation, a field he prefers, she said.
Levy will take a 2-month leave of absence before assuming the new position.
Molloy begins as general counsel Jan. 9 on an acting basis and permanently on March 13.
