A Calabasas man who fired a shotgun through a wall of his house at two Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies was arrested Thursday on suspicion of attempted murder, authorities said. Neither deputy was injured.

Vincent Shortino, 25, was being held without bail at the Malibu sheriff’s station after the 2 a.m. shooting, which occurred while the deputies investigated a domestic-dispute, Deputy Van Mosley said.

Mosley said Tiffany Pancino, 21, who lives with Shortino in the 3500 block of Gladiola Drive, was slightly injured in a fight with Shortino and called the Sheriff’s Department from a neighbor’s home.

Two deputies, whose identities were not released, arrived and saw a man later identified as Shortino run inside. When the man was ordered to come out, he fired a shotgun through the front wall of the house, missing the deputies. After he was again ordered outside, Shortino emerged unarmed but struggled with the deputies before he was subdued, Mosley said.
