Permits issued in October for the construction of single-family homes more than doubled the number issued in September. And there has been a 16% increase in the number of permits issued for the first 10 months of 1988 (the latest information available) compared to the same period last year. The unincorporated areas of the county continue to be the sites of the largest growth in single-family homes. Yorba Linda and Huntington Beach show the largest gains among the individual cities.
