Doodlin Easily Wins Los Alamitos Feature
The big filly Doodlin easily made Friday’s $56,175 Electioneer Futurity her 18th victory from 25 starts in 1988 at Los Alamitos Race Course. The victory increased her earnings for the year to $175,000.
Trained by Jim Salerno with regular driver Rick Kuebler, Doodlin took the lead after the first quarter and appeared in complete control throughout.
Joliette held the lead the first quarter and paced strongly in second behind Doodlin the final three quarters.
Doodlin paid $2.40 to win. The exacta from Doodlin to Joliette paid $5.00.
