Tim Murphy, who had a 15-8 record as Maine football coach the past 2 seasons, agreed to become coach at the University of Cincinnati. He replaces Dave Currey, who stepped down after the National Collegiate Athletic Assn. placed the Bearcats on 3 years’ probation for recruiting violations.
