The Los Angeles Public Library is using a $50,000 federal grant to expand materials, programs and services for those 65 or older.

“Many new, large type books and other collection materials are available and more are continuing to arrive,” said Jennifer Lambelet, director of LAPL’s adult services. “Materials focus on subjects of special interest to older adults.”

The grant was provided by the federal Library Services and Construction Act.
