Good days at Black Rock! Not only did the recently cellar-dwelling CBS prime-time lineup feature this week’s No. 1 show on the A. C. Nielsen audience measurement chart--”The Karen Carpenter Story” TV movie--but also Nos. 2 and 3 as well, pushing CBS into second place for the week. The perennial top-rated network, NBC, was still on top, but with flagship series “The Cosby Show” slipping to fifth, who knows what could happen next week? (Not to be forgotten is the strong lead-in the three CBS shows got on Sunday night from the NFL playoff coverage.) Please see Page 12 for the full Nielsen listings

* The low ranking of this Koppel-led investigation of global issues from an extra-terrestrial perspective--No. 56--was indicative of ABC’s third-place finish this week.
