Compton : 3 Agencies Join to Lead King Memorial Tribute
A memorial tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. will be held Friday night by Compton’s three largest public agencies, the city government, the Compton Unified School District and Compton Community College.
Titled “The Dream: The Next Generation,” the event will feature music by Life, a 100-voice choir directed by H. B. Barnum. Attorney LeGrand Clegg will be the keynote speaker. The memorial will be from 8 to 10 p.m. at Dollarhide Community Center, 1108 N. Oleander Ave.
