Planning Director Appointed
Christopher Gustin, 39, has been named Rolling Hills Estates planning director. He replaces Stephen A. Emslie, who left to become planning director in Saratoga, near San Jose.
Before coming to the South Bay, Gustin was senior planner in Newport Beach for 12 years. Gustin said it was “time for a change” and that Rolling Hills Estates provides an opportunity for “hands-on planning in a small operation.”
The planning director’s salary is between $2,581 and $3,891 a month. Rolling Hills Estates does not disclose exact employee salaries. Gustin lives in Costa Mesa. He and his wife, Anne, have a 20-month-old daughter and are expecting another child in February.
