Center Molly Tideback and forward Althea Ford each scored 17 points as UCLA defeated USC, 76-62, in a Pacific 10 women’s basketball game Thursday night at the Sports Arena.

“Everything runs in cycles, and maybe it’s about time we turned it around the other way,” UCLA Coach Billie Moore said after the Bruins beat the Trojans for the first time since 1985.

After serving a 2-game suspension for disciplinary reasons, Trojan center Cherie Nelson returned but was plagued by early foul trouble, scoring 15 points. Forward Rosalind Hodge led the Trojans with 23 points.
