Los Angeles Mayor’s Race
As a long-time Los Angeles resident and as a 5th District homeowner and resident, I view Councilman Zev Yaroslavsky’s decision to not run for mayor with mixed emotions (Part I, Jan. 6-7).
I am disappointed because I think Los Angeles needs his leadership and outlook on a multitude of vital issues, but I am relieved that the 5th District has a real candidate who understands and responds to our needs rather than the single-issue slate we had before Yaroslavsky’s decision.
The recent press coverage does not accurately reflect the views of Yaroslavsky’s many supporters in the 5th District and how pleased we are with the job he does for us.
