Former Philippine President Ferdinand E. Marcos was back in a Honolulu hospital, reportedly suffering from pneumonia and bronchial asthma. The trip to St. Francis Medical Center, where he was placed in the intensive care unit, marked his third hospital admission in two months. On the two previous occasions, Marcos, 71, was treated for congestive heart failure. A hearing is scheduled Thursday in New York to determine whether the exiled ruler is healthy enough to travel to the East Coast to face federal fraud charges. His attorneys say he is too ill to make the trip.
