‘The Trash Piles Up’

Thanks for your editorial. Our environment has been a real concern of mine for a long time. Your description of the KARA waste-disposal cooperative in Denmark sounds like the answer to the unhealthy blight of landfills. Who are the officials in charge of waste disposal in Southern California? Is it possible to encourage them to use this new method? Is it possible to convince citizens to separate their trash? They do it in Tokyo. They have to. How can we help? I’m already on the bandwagon.
