SCEcorp, parent company of Southern California Edison Co., said its net rose 3% to $762 million for fiscal 1988 on a 12% gain in operating revenue to $6.25 billion. The Rosemead-based utility said the earnings increase was particularly noteworthy because it was achieved despite a reduction by the California Public Utilities Commission in the utility’s 1988 authorized return on common equity. In addition, the company said, non-utility earnings were 84% greater than in 1987.
