Waves Take On Pilots Tonight at Portland

Pepperdine’s basketball team, off to a 2-0 start in the West Coast Athletic Conference, will play tonight at Portland and Saturday night at Gonzaga in Spokane, Wash.

The Waves (10-7) have won 13 of the last 14 games against Portland (1-14, 1-1). The Waves have won 11 of their last 13 against Gonzaga (10-5, 1-1).

Portland won its first game of the season last week, upsetting the University of San Diego, 57-54, on the road and breaking a 22-game losing streak. Junior forward Josh Lowery, a transfer from San Diego State, is averaging a team-high 14.5 points a game for the Pilots.

Pepperdine junior forward Dexter Howard is averaging a team-high 18.2.
