Here Is a Sure Way to End Illegal Payments

There’s one sure way to halt the seemingly endless illegal payment scandals in college athletics: Make the payments legal.

As it stands, student-athletes are not allowed to share in any of the huge revenues they often help bring in for their schools.

Nobody objects to students getting paid for working in the university bookstore or cafeteria. So why shouldn’t their classmates be rewarded for their athletic skills and effort?

Only a few are able to go on to earn a living as professional athletes. It’s time to cut the hypocrisy and catch up to the real world.
