KNX Radio’s traffic and weather reporter Bill Keene had some spiritual guidance in reporting Monday morning’s traffic snarls. One of his tips came from Archbishop Roger Mahony, who called in to say that traffic was “worse than a mess” in the La Cienega Avenue-Jefferson Boulevard area because a traffic light was out. Keene later told The Times that over the last couple of years, the archbishop has called in several times from a phone in his limousine to report traffic problems he spots. As a tipster, Keene called Mahony “pretty good.”
