Hawaiian Electric Buys 98% of Molokai Utility

HONOLULU —
Hawaiian Electric Industries Inc. has announced that it has acquired 98.4% of Molokai Electric Co. for $60 a share, or about $1.4 million.
Hawaiian Electric said it expects to buy the remaining shares by the end of February at the same price.
