President Bush’s Inaugural Address

Share

Now that Bush has been inaugurated, many problems and challenges stand in his way. Two of the major problems Bush faces are alleviating the national deficit, and solving the homeless problem. I have a new idea that might help them both. Why do renewable items such as milk and beer cost more per gallon than gasoline? We need to lower the price of products like milk and beer, and put a tax of around 80 cents on each gallon of gasoline; 20 cents would go to improving the homeless situation, and 60 cents would go directly to reducing our national deficit.

Not only would this eliminate the deficit and solve the homeless problem, it would also induce a great sense of pride in all gas buyers. We would be saving our communities and our country.
