Decision to Stop Semiautomatic Sales
Randy Garell’s decision to discontinue the sale of assault weapons is obviously not going to get him the presidency of the NRA but it did earn tremendous respect from me.
The majority of his business associates and the NRA will remember his stand on these weapons long after those of us who applaud his decision will. Because of this, and because I feel so strongly that the weapons that are specifically designed to kill people should be, if not outlawed, made extremely difficult to come by, I wanted to congratulate Garell for taking this step.
There is no doubt in my mind that some innocent person will die of old age, instead of being shot by some deranged person, because Garell discontinued selling those weapons. On behalf of that future senior citizen and myself, I thank him.
