Gunfire Wounds Leucadia Resident

Sheriff deputies are searching for an assailant who repeatedly shot and wounded a Leucadia man Saturday morning.
Rodolfo Perez was attacked in the parking lot of his apartment complex in the 200 block of East Glaucus Street about 7 a.m., Sgt. Manny Castillo said.
Deputies found Perez lying in the parking lot, suffering from several chest wounds. He was taken to Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla, where he was in critical condition Saturday, a hospital spokeswoman said.
Several witnesses, who were interviewed after the shooting, told authorities about seeing a man leaving the area in a maroon-colored Chevrolet, Castillo said.
An investigation is continuing.
